Roll Call’s S.E.E.D. Program is designed for emerging adults ages 16 to 24, with a focus on entrepreneurship, job readiness, and career development. The program equips participants with the skills, mindset, and support needed to pursue meaningful employment and long-term professional growth.
In direct response to workforce demands, S.E.E.D. integrates employer input into both the development and implementation of training -ensuring participants are prepared to meet real-world hiring needs and succeed in today’s competitive job market.
Participants engage in a variety of hands-on workshops, including topics such as college planning, writing professional emails and text communications, and workplace etiquette. These sessions are designed to broaden awareness, build confidence, and empower youth to make informed, goal-oriented decisions about their future.
S.E.E.D. not only prepares young adults for employment but also introduces them to entrepreneurial thinking, helping them explore alternative career paths and develop valuable life skills along the way.
This program is designed to inspire and nurture the creativity of youth ages 10 to 15 years old by introducing them to the world of arts, fashion design, styling, and merchandise marketing. Rather than focusing on job readiness or entrepreneurship, the program encourages self-expression, imagination, and artistic exploration.
Participants will have the opportunity to discover their unique creative voice, learn about the fashion and design process, and engage with hands-on projects that foster confidence and curiosity. This program also serves as a positive, engaging outlet, helping reduce youth involvement in violence by offering a safe, expressive space for growth and connection. While not career-focused, the experiences and inspiration gained may open doors for future creative passions and possibilities.

In response to the challenges presented during the COVID-19 pandemic, Roll Call partnered with Cook County Juvenile Probation to provide diversion services for court-involved youth ages 11 to 18. This program offered an alternative pathway to fulfill probation service hours while promoting personal growth, accountability, and community awareness.
Participants engaged in trauma-informed sessions covering topics such as conflict resolution, anger management, gun violence prevention, animal cruelty awareness, and strategic thinking through chess. Sessions were co-facilitated with juvenile probation officers from the Cook County Temporary Detention Center and featured guest speakers, including representatives from the Anti-Cruelty Society, former gang members, and members of the Illinois Prisoner Review Board.
In addition to group sessions, youth received access to valuable resources, including mentoring, counseling referrals, employment opportunities, and information on record expungement, supporting their development and reducing the likelihood of future system involvement.
